Lessonface is a great company that facilitates online lessons in music and foreign languages. Students have the option to book lessons with a highly qualified teacher.
How does it work?
Lessonface connects students with highly qualified, excellent teachers for one-on-one and group classes over high quality video conference. All you need to use Lessonface is a computer or tablet with webcam and reliable Internet access.
Does it work?
About 7 years ago, I had a private student that took online lessons with me through Skype and it worked! She had great success in making the NM All State and All District bands, as well as gaining a music scholarship for her undergraduate studies. This was prior to having the option of a great website like Lessonface. This allows students in rural areas without any option for live lessons to improve their skills. I wish this had been an option when I was in high school. Unfortunately, I lived in an area that was 3 hours away from the closest teacher and could not have lessons prior to attending college. But Lessonface makes this possible for students now and I am excited to get started on the website!
